My one owner 2013 Freightliner MT55 18-foot tool truck has engine driven AC and a shoreline roof A/C, back-up camera, air ride suspension, power window and a 2,000lb. auto open/close rear liftgate. The truck is powered by a Cummins 6.7L diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission.
We just replaced the radiator with a brand new one, and also four brand new auxiliary batteries. The windshield was just replaced as well. The transmission was just serviced and all fluid changes done. Brakes were done about a year ago. Engine oil and oil filter, gas filters changed every 7,000 miles. This truck is well kept, very clean and maintained.
Just to repeat, this MT55 is a cut above the typical 18' Step Van. I added a lot of options when I ordered it. It has air ride suspension, a shoreline AC unit for working in the driveway or shop without running the engine, a self opening/closing liftgate, a drivers power window, and aluminum wheels.
It's a turn key truck and I would still be driving it but Snap-on's rule mandates a bigger truck. The family business is in a new truck now, making this 18' available.
